This week is ‘Cyber Scotland Week’ – learn how to stay safe online

The following blog post comes from the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations. They have released a cybersecurity guide, full of information on keeping you safe online. Although it is aimed at third sector organisations, it contains valuable information for individuals too.

For Cyber Scotland Week 2019, ACOSVO have partnered with SCVO and the Scottish Government to promote Cyber-Security across the third sector and to develop our new Protect Your Network guide.

We hope you’ll be able to use the guide with your staff and board teams to improve cyber-security within your organisation. You don’t need to be a cyber expert to understand it, and it has simple actions that should only take a few minutes each to put into practice.

Please think of the guide as a starting point; there is plenty of detailed information available on the National Cyber Security Centre’s website (including their easy-to-understand Small Charity Guide); and don’t forget to check #CyberScotWeek19 on twitter for tips and advice from a whole host of organisations.
