Volunteering with CALA
Here at CALA we are always looking for volunteers to support us to deliver support to our children and families. If you are a caring type of person who enjoys having fun and can spare 2-3 hours a week why not help make a positive difference and try volunteering?
Volunteering can make you feel good about yourself and improve your health. It can also be quite social helping you to get out and about and meet new people.
Meet some of CALA’s volunteers here!
Volunteer feedback
‘Once a week I take a wee lad to a playgroup. Firstly, to give his Mum a rest but more importantly to enable him to mix with children of his own age and to socialise.
The other visit is to look after a small girl whilst her Mum takes her older brother for swimming lessons. Mum provides a snack for us and all I have to do is play! They try to convince me it’s work! The swimming is improving extremely well and so far my charge is delightful.
So far, no down sides to being a volunteer at all!’
