Quality Assurance in Out of School Clubs

Amongst other services to Out of School Providers, Care and Learning Alliance offers support and delivers programmes of Quality Assurance to CALA managed clubs using HMIe’s Quality Indicators for Evaluation Services for Children and Young People.

Each club is visited several times over the year by the Quality Assurance Officer, to observe practice, highlight key strengths and identify areas for improvement. As a result, action plans are agreed, implemented and reviewed on a six monthly basis to monitor progress. This should reassure parents, carers, staff and managers that the service they offer or receive is as good as it can be and that a reflective and forward thinking attitude prevails.
