A successful CALA Conference 2015

Thanks to all who participated in the 2015 CALA Conference – IT’s a Fact of Life: growing up in a digital world – which took place on the 29th September in Inverness – we had a record turn out on the day.

We are already planning for next year so if you have any ideas or themes you want us to consider, please get in touch.

We’ll publish the images from the day after the October break – something to look forward to at the start of the new term.

Earlier this week I took some time to review the conference evaluations and wanted to share some of the comments with you.

Valerie Gale, CALA Chief Executive

Both speakers reinforced my increasing belief that we need to de-clutter our little children’s lives and raise the profile of partnership and childcare and play.

Sue really captured me entirely. Wonderful speaker who spoke sense.

I enjoyed all of Christine’s presentation. Some interesting thoughts and concepts.

Internet Safety  – Input was excellent. Again will use within my learning teaching with students.

Technology in EYEverything he showed us and told us about was fantastic – lots of great ideas and activities to put into practice.

Good Night’s SleepLots of good relevant info re sleep patterns and the effects they have whilst using ICT.

I-Spy OutdoorsI loved the idea of the camera trap and the microscope – could open up a whole new way of learning and using IT and the outdoors.

LunchFantastic.  Excellent – what a spread!  Delicious!

Other Comments

Another fantastic conference, it is good to challenge thinking and get other perspectives.

This is my 2nd year and it is good to be a part of something so passionate.
