Exciting new free service for schools

The emphasis will be on helping parents and carers develop their children’s resilience to the risks and pressures they face in today’s world. The articles and videos cover difficult topics about sex, relationships and the internet, body image and peer pressure, as well as broad parenting topics like ‘how much sleep do teenagers need?’.

In line with Thinkuknow some of the content covers internet safety, but it all starts from the assumption that young people make little distinction between their online and offline lives and the issues for parents are often the same. The aim is to help parents help their children be discriminating, web-literate and resilient.

For the last two terms, ParentInfo has been tested in 100 schools across the country. 100% of users said they would recommend it to another school, and there were exceptionally high levels of approval for the content.

The information, support and resources – added to weekly – can be adapted, displayed and distributed online and off to support a schools delivery to their parenting community.

Schools can register at parentinfo.org
