Can you believe we’ve reached our 1000th blog post? Who would have thought, back in April 2011, that we would now have so many members with their own blog noticeboards? We started off with one – Gaarfields Childcare Centre in Brora – and we now have 87 member groups who have shared their news and stories with us.
The blog’s now also become a place for sharing event notifications as well as being a means of keeping our staff, fellow practitioners, members and parents informed of childcare-related issues including statutory guidance and reports.
The comments are particularly useful, especially from parents, as it’s a measure of how far we’re getting it right for every child (GIRFEC).
We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who has contributed to the blog since the start, including staff, CALA members and fellow childcare supporters. It’s not always easy finding the time to put some words together, or indeed fiddling about with images and trying to get them emailed!
Here’s to the next 1000! In the meantime, enjoy ten blasts from the past!
