New food labelling regulations
Please find below links to information for nursery and childcare staff who are providing meals/snacks in early years/wrap around and after school care. The information provides information on the 14 allergens, storage of food containing allergens, and sharing of food equipment such as chopping boards.
The Food Information Regulations 2014 (FIR) implement a EU Regulation that essentially amalgamates several existing regulations relating to food labelling and standards but also enhances current requirements in relation to food packaging labelling, allergen labelling and nutritional labelling.
