Improvement Planning
Whether you are operating an Early Learning and Childcare, Out of School or Daycare centre, you should use your knowledge of its strengths and areas for improvement, to decide where to focus your audit work. You should consider which Quality Indicators need to be looked at more closely based on feedback from parents, staff or children, quality assessments, external visits, etc. This will in turn highlight your priorities for improvement within your Improvement Plan.
It is important that your action plans are sufficiently detailed to make a significant positive impact on the quality of children’s early learning and childcare and that you consider and include the Curriculum for Excellence, as well as guidance from Building the Ambition (2014). The core areas within this are Literacy, Numeracy and Health and Wellbeing which should be embedded in all aspects of your provision, both indoors and outdoors. significant positive impact on the quality of children’s early learning and childcare
