Croileagan Inbhir Narainn says goodbye to Myriam

So long, Farewell, Tioraidh, Au revoir Myriam

They say ‘all good things come to an end’. Well it certainly felt that way at Cròileagan Inbhir Narainn recently as we said goodbye to our Senior Early Years Practitioner, Myriam Macintyre. Myriam has been at Croileagan for nearly 15 years so you can only imagine how many children will have passed through her care and been inspired by her enthusiasm for fun and learning.

Some of the parents joined the children for a wee party to celebrate and thank Myriam for all she has done. We had some dancing and singing together to favourite nursery rhymes and a final singing together of Myriam’s favourite – Ma tha thu toilichte an-diugh, buail do lamh! (If you’re happy today, clap your hands – to a well-known tune!)

Myriam was presented with some flowers, cards and presents from parents past, and present. The children were very excited and desperate to see inside the big card! A true practitioner to the very last minute, Myriam had them feeling inside the envelope and guessing what it might be – was it a dog? Was it a cat? Oh no, I don’t want to open it if it’s a crocodile!! Eventually we found out – some cute little hamsters saying Goodbye and Sorry you are leaving – a feeling we all shared at Myriam leaving us.

The staff, parents and children at Croileagan would like to say a huge ‘Thank you‘ to Myriam. We wish her all the best for the future. Gura math a thèid leat!

Enjoy the photos!
