Making Windows at Portree Family First

We are very lucky at Portree Family First Group to have a volunteer who has lots of innovative craft ideas. Shared working was put into real practice when CALA Volunteer Margaret Ferguson came up with the idea of creating ‘transparencies’ with the children and Louise Gibson offered to bring in her lightbox. Louise is CALA’s Play Practice Advisor with the Making Time for Play project.

Transparencies – so effective and yet so easy to do.

Lots of card cut into ‘window’ shapes and lots of coloured cellophane.

Desperate to show mum how it looks on the lightbox!

The children and the mums were amazed at how the lightbox brought their creations to life.

One of the mums had the fab idea of going outside to get some leaves to see how they would look in the light.
