We invite you to attend one or more of a series of four FREE practical workshops adapted from our ‘Play into Practice’ course. These sessions are suitable for those who may be new to working with children in OSC , those who want to develop their knowledge and practice or simply a refresher and a little inspiration! Last Chance to Register for Strathpeffer Play into Practice (PLiP)

There are still a few places available for Play into Practice in Strathpeffer. If you are interested in attending, make sure you get your completed booking form in by the 28th of April (Thursday).

What: Play into Practice (PLiP) is for inexperienced practitioners or experienced practitioners looking to refresh their skills and knowledge in the value of play and learning.

New location for Play and Learning into Practice Course (PLiP)

Due to insufficient demand in FORT WILLIAM we’re relocating PLiP to Strathpeffer. This central location provides an exciting opportunity for staff working in the surrounding area. Strathpeffer Community Centre, Strathpeffer can be accessed easily by Public Transport from several locations, for example:

Play and Learning into Practice (PLiP) – Strathpeffer

Play and Learning into Practice (PLiP) a FREE 6-day introductory course, is running in Strathpeffer Community Centre starting on May 2016 for six weeks. It is for both new and inexperienced practitioners and experienced practitioners looking to refresh their skills and knowledge in the value of play and learning. The course provides wide range of practical learning experiences, knowledge on child development and an understanding of how to provide an effective childcare environment.

The course provides the option for students to complete the SQA NC module ‘Child Development and Health’.

N.B. Training is FREE to practitioners and childminders (subject to availability) working in Highland.

Play into Practice in Fort William

Over the last three Thursdays in March, we’ve been sharing an introduction to Play into Practice (adapted from the 5 day accredited course) in Lochaber.  Attendees came from a variety of working backgrounds including childminders, ELC practitioners, children’s support workers, and NHS staff. Many thanks to the lovely group of ladies who attended for their active participation in a blend of play related theory, practice, thought provoking discussions and practical hands on play, fun and learning!
