The children and staff of Cawdor Out of School Care have been busy planning and taking part in lots of activities, including: carving pumpkins, tasting exotic fruit (“it tastes bad and nice at the same time”), and designing a new logo (to be unveiled at a later date). They also took some time to learn about what the red poppy symbolises and why many people wear one at this time of year.
After all these busy activities they found time to unwind with a few hand massages.

The Cawdor out of school club had a visitor, Vincent, a miniature pony. The Children enjoyed speaking to Vincent’s owner, and finding out what he likes to eat and how much exercise he needs to have. We were lucky enough to be allowed to give Vincent an apple. Some of the children thought that it felt weird feeding him as his tongue was rough.
As the weather has been rather nice we have been making the most of it and trying to get out as much as we can. We have been paddling in the river and up at the park enjoying the fresh air.
We have also been making use of the local woodland walks. The children that were with us really enjoyed looking for the different homes that belong to animals and searching for unusual plants.
