CALA Prizewinners

CALA Practitioner of the Year 2015

Our Practitioner of the Year 2015 was Laura MacLennan from Culbokie Fun Club and our runner up was Laura Pirie, Rothiemay & District Playgroup. Other nominees were:

  • Angela Andrew, TRACC, Tain
  • Rebecca Campbell, Golspie Playgroup
  • Julie Shaw, Golspie Playgroup

CALA Volunteer of the Year 2015

This year’s winner of CALA’s Volunteeer of the Year was Rosie Macleod (South Skye & Lochalsh Family First). Also nominated was Zoe Lumsden from Kinmylies Out of School Club.

CALA PSP Volunteer of the Year 2015

Our PSP (Public Social Partnership) with Highland Council and Action for Children enables families to access services and activities that they might not otherwise be able to reach. The winner of the CALA PSP Volunteer of the Year was Aga Rudak who works with Portree Family First.

CALA Staffbank Award

The winner of this new award was Barbara Jarvie – Babs has been with the Staffbank for nearly 10 years and works across all services from relief play worker to sitter and senior creche worker. Other nominees were:

  • Amy Macrae

The CALA Raffle

We raised £200 for the Archie Foundation, Inverness. Our star prize, a week’s caravan hire at Embo, was donated by Denise Barras, Les Enfants, Inverness and won by Mairianne Nairn, CALA Parent Toddler Coordinator.

Laura Mackintosh, Head of Fundraising (Highlands, Islands & Western Isles), The Archie Foundation, was delighted:
