Càit’ a bheil an Damhan-Allaidh?

(We know that Christmas is just around the corner but we wanted to share one more Halloween story with you!)

The little stars at Na Rionnagan Beaga Inbhir Theorsa (Thurso) were delighted to take part in our Hallowe’en themed messy play activity ‘Càit a’ bheil an Damhan-Allaidh?’

Lots of spooky witches, some pumpkins and even a skeleton paid us a visit and also helped decorate the Halloween cakes and breadsticks!  We iced and decorated fairy cakes and dipped breadsticks in melted chocolate and sprinkles to make magic wands! In fact they were so good that the wee ones tried to eat most of the chocolate before we even got a chance to melt it! Bha iad uamhasach blasta!

This certainly was one morning that the children were more than happy to sit around the table and take part in the activity!

The committee has been working really hard along with myself to ensure that we have a variety of different messy play and craft activities throughout the term.  Shaving foam was a new idea for our group and the children loved it; especially one little Frankenstein who was desperate to find his damhan-allaidh!  I’m already planning what we will be searching for next!

We are pleased to have welcomed many new faces this term and delighted to see the new children taking part and enjoying the activities and very thankful to have new parents to help with the group too.
