Building the Ambition Training

BTA-Training-2016.2-1CALA Executive Manager Stephanie Bruce and CALA Training Manager Norma Ruettimann recently delivered Building the Ambition training to a packed audience on Wednesday 17th February 2016 at Culduthel Christian Centre in Inverness.

As it was an In-Service day, around 190 attended made up of Principal Teachers Early Years from Highland Council and CALA Childhood Practice Managers –  a logistical first for CALA’s training team. They were ably assisted by Highland Council and CALA facilitators; Stephanie and Norma would like to thank everyone for being adaptable and flexible with the use of space!

Comments from the day included:

  • very informative, allowed me to reflect on various areas of my practice
  • the course clarified factors I knew and others I wasn’t clear about
  • there are many changes ahead
  • all staff need to use this training so ALL are working towards same aim and focus

We hope you enjoy a short slideshow of pictures from the day (below).

Building the Ambition (BTA) is the Scottish Government’s new National Practice Guidance on Early Learning and Childcare Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014. It provides practical guidance on the experiences and interactions necessary to deliver the best learning journey for babies, toddlers and young children. It describes what is good practice in creating caring settings that allow wellbeing and creativity to flourish.
