Building the Ambition at Glenbervie Kindergarten and GX Club at Carrongrange House, Stenhousemuir

Following on from our first visit to Glenbervie Kindergarden and GX Club in Larbert last October, we paid a second visit to Glenbervie this time to work with practitioners from the sister provision at Carrongrange House, Stenhousemiir.

Twenty-one staff attended the day which included tutor presentation, DVD clips on resilience and building brains, small group activities,  discussion and reflection. Despite the tempting spring sunshine outside, Manager Mairi and her team were participating throughout the day, no doubt helped by the generous amount of  edible goodies provided by owner Helen Bell!

Evaluative comments on learning gained from attendees included:

“Enjoyed workshop, learned so much about BTA.”

“I learned a great understanding of the BTA guidelines and helped towards my learning and thinking when it comes to my work with children.”

“Important to meet age/stage and development needs.”

“It doesn’t matter what age of child, the learning can always be extended.”

“Our jobs can make a real impact on children’s lives.”

“Our interactions with children, staff and parents are important on a daily basis.”
