Evanton Toddlers really love Bookbug!

Although outside it was a very cold day, the children at Evanton Toddlers kept warm inside with lots of enthusiastic action songs during a recent Bookbug session.

After singing the ‘Hello’ song, the children’s favourites include ‘Wind the Bobbin up’ and of course, ‘The Wheels on the Bus’. We practiced shaking our instruments loudly and quietly and all enjoyed the book, ‘Whose Stripes? by Fiona Munro.

Playing with the lycra always gets lots of giggles, especially ‘Static Electricity’ which involves the children hiding underneath and having their hair rubbed backwards and forwards until it sticks up!

Static Electricity,
Makes my skin all tingly,
Put it up in the air…
Look at all my funny hair!

Everyone is always a little sad when we have to sing our goodbye song and Bookbug has to leave!

Evanton Toddlers meet on a Tuesday Morning in the Evanton Sports Hall.  If you are interested in taking part in a Bookbug Session please contact your local CALA Toddler Group Facilitator.

You can find out more about Bookbug on the Scottish Book Trust site.
