CALA Staffbank

CALA Staffbank now has its own website. You can find it at www.calastaffbank.co.uk

The CALA Staffbank provide Relief Childcare Practitioners on a daily basis to cover for staffing requirements / staff absence in a wide range of childcare centre’s across the Highlands, creating a real opportunity for both men and women to work in the childcare sector in a variety of stimulating environments.

There are many benefits to working with Staffbank. Relief Childcare Practitioners work on a totally flexible basis giving individuals full control over when and where they work. We offer practical paid experience in a wide range of childcare facilities including Early Years, Daycare, Out of School Care and Family Support Work, providing in-depth training and support.

We are delighted to introduce your office support team:

Debbie Campbell: Staffbank & Childcare Manager

I joined CALA as a Childhood Practice Manager in November 2007, with over 10 years of childcare experience which has continued to grow, recently adding CALA Staffbank to my management responsibilities, which include Cradlehall Playgroup, Fortrose Pre-school and North Kessock Out of School Care. With added responsibilities supporting the Operations Manager, no two days are ever the same, providing challenge and diversity which I really enjoy!

I live in Inverness and am married with two grown up children. There’s not much in the way of free time in our house! But when I can, I enjoy spending time on the touchlines of various rugby pitches around the country (a shared family passion), working as a volunteer with Riding for the Disabled and Dyslexia Scotland Inverness, or simply spending time with my family and animals.

Darren Zuckert: Staffbank Administrator

I joined CALA as the Staffbank Administrator in July 2016 after working as an IT analyst and Team Leader at Capgemini for the previous 5 years.

As most of you will probably know I have taken over from Donna Mitchell who has moved to a role with Direct Childcare and my main responsibility is to arrange relief workers at any given notice for various schools, nurseries, OOSC’s etc.

Out of work I’m really into sport and my main passion is football both playing and watching, I play up to 3 times a week and I follow Inverness Caledonian Thistle home and away at every opportunity. My other interests include American football, listening to music, playing guitar and watching TV/films.

Amanda Young: HR Admin Assistant

I have worked for Direct Childcare as the CALA Staffbank HR Admin Assistant since May 2015 and have now moved with the Staffbank over to CALA management. Previous to this I was an Assistant manager for 11 ½ years dealing with Staff Personnel, Training and assisting the General Manager with the day-to-day running of the venue I worked in.

I live in Muir of Ord with my two children. My spare time is spent running them to out of school activities and making memories together. There is nothing better than a house full of laughter, covered in paint, making the most of our time together.
