Rhythm & Rhyme

The main aim of the Rhythm & Rhyme project was to bring music, dance and play opportunities including traditional street and playground games to Out of School Care (OSC) clubs in Moray, through a series of workshops. The project was delivered by Lilian Ross a well known traditional singer and story teller.

Funded by the Scottish Communities Fund, the project ran over a two year period from January 2008 to January 2010. Over the two year period 16 groups participated and an average per year of 156 children and 44 staff engaged in the project. A Rhythm & Rhyme CD was also created and launched in Elgin in December 2009.
