Early Years Early Action is a fund run by Inspiring Scotland to improve the outcomes for young children and to help them to achieve their potential. The fund, delivered in partnership with the Scottish Government, will increase the voluntary sector capacity to deliver frontline services to children and families. CALA is one of 24 organisations involved in the project.

CALA have linked initially with the following organisations for the purposes of this project:
- Women’s Aid – Argyll and Bute and Inverness
- MOD Service Bases – Dreghorn Barracks, RAF Lossiemouth and Black Watch, Inverness
- Family First – Isle of Skye and East Sutherland
- CALA Alness Toddler Project
- CALA Ormlie Toddler Project
The three part time Play Practice Advisors working on the Early Years Early Action project are Rena Slater, Cameron Sprague and Louise Gibson.
Some of you might know Rena as she was the Senior Playworker at South Loch Ness Playgroup for many years.

Cameron originally hails from the USA and is qualified in outdoor education.
Louise is based in Gairloch and manages a Daycare Centre for children 6 mths - 12 yrs. Her background is in Playwork and she's also an SVQ assessor with HiMATS visiting nurseries, daycare and Out of School Clubs.
