Voluntary Committee  Support

Under the Gateway project established in April of 2005 with the financial backing of Highland Council, CALA is offering a free service to voluntary committees responsible for the management of partner centres and out of school clubs in Highland . This service is designed to support and advise members, who take on the role of employer, on current employment law requirements.

Following an initial visit to participating groups and clubs, feedback is provided individually with recommendations on actions required to ensure that the centre/club has the correct employment framework in place. A full support service from the HR team is with you every step of the way to advise and guide you through issues such as, employment contracts, wage rates, disclosure, references, recruitment etc.

Once your committees has everything in place you can continue to access a full range of support on employment law and a raft of Human Resource issues via CALA and on to employment law consultants associated with the company.

This process is well under way and there are currently a total of twenty five groups participating in the project.

Feedback from the groups concerned has been very positive with everyone quick to see the advantages of this expert service.
