Staff Managed Centres (Highland)
Currently CALA is working in close partnership with 8 voluntary committees assisting directly with the recruitment, induction, employment and training & development of their centre’s staff.   These centres continue to be led by voluntary committees and work closely with CALA to ensure the necessary quality of provision is maintained and continually improved.

Staff Managed centres can access all the listed services available to voluntary members but have the added benefit of accessing CALA’s management experience and quality assurance programme.   All staff managed centres have a designated Childhood Practice Manager who visits and works in the centre at least once a week.

Directly Managed Centres (Highland)
Where there is no working committee, CALA has developed a model of direct management and has total responsibility for all service delivery.   The number of directly managed partner centres sits at 27 in September 2009.   Again, each directly managed centre has a designated Childhood Practice Manager who visits and works in the centre at least once a week.
