Children need to feel a sense of security and belonging whilst they are away from their parents, and this is the key  aim of the CALA childcare centres. We strive  to ensure that children feel safe, secure and happy in a friendly environment. Children are encouraged to mix and learn from other children within the childcare centre.

Each day involves a wide variety of activities, designed to suit your child’s individual needs and interests, no matter what their  age.  Through enjoyable learning experiences children will learn new skills to develop their full potential whilst having fun. What looks like “just play” is serious work for children and when properly guided produces important learning.

Your child will be assigned a key worker, who will be responsible for ensuring a smooth transition from home to childcare.  You will be able to stay with your child until he or she has settled.  When your child starts we will ask you to provide all the necessary information such as contact details, names of those people who will collect him or her on a regular basis and discuss your child’s routines, i.e. sleeping and eating  pattern, so that this reflects where possible what they are used to doing at home.

Each centre aims to engage in the life of the community and encourages parents and families to be actively involved in the service that we provide.
